Richard Mazda

is the Founding Artistic Director of The Queens Players and The Secret Theatre. He is also the founder and Executive Director of Queens largest Art festival The LIC Arts Open. As an Actor EastEnders [BBC], Bad Girls [ITV] Prospero [Secret Theatre, NY] Polonius [Arcola Theatre UK] and many more. As a director he has helmed over thirty-six main stage shows. He is the producer of the iconic 80’s hit Mexican Radio an ASCAP award winner for writing the Billboard R&B No. 1 hit How Long. Director credits include: Edward II, Dr. Faustus, Macbeth, Othello, Entertaining Mr. Sloane, Home James, Pirate Pete, Julius Caesar. Richard is also an avid Sci Fi and Horror buff who has introduced NYC audiences to the original French Theatre of Horror, Le Grand Guignol through his annual productions. Mazda has written several original Guignol’s including The Bloomsbury Butcher, Touch of Death and Double Crossed.
