an award-winning actor, has moved seamlessly between the worlds of film, television, and theater for almost three decades. Having received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, he returned to his native New York to begin his professional career in theater, delving into the works of contemporaries like Pinter and Beckett as well as the classics of Shakespeare, Marlowe, Ibsen, and Checkov with two recent trips back to Broadway in A FEW GOOD MEN and BUS STOP.
His film career began in the early eighties with two films back to back for director Jean Jacques Annaud; QUEST FOR FIRE, for which he received a Canadian Academy Award nomination, and the role of Salvatore, the hunchback in Umberto Eco’s THE NAME OF THE ROSE. Perlman continues his unique collaboration with French directors, starring in Jean Pierre Juenet and Marc Caro’s award winning CITY OF LOST CHILDREN and costarring with Sigourney Weaver and Winona Ryder in Juenet’s ALIEN RESURRECTION. Other film work includes roles in studio ventures such as THE ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU, ROMEO IS BLEEDING, FLUKE, THE ADVENTURES OF HUCK FINN, AND SLEEPWALKERS as well as independent films including CRONOS, THE LAST SUPPER, and WHEN THE BOUGH BREAKS, FROGS FOR SNAKES, I WOKE UP EARLY THE DAY I DIED, TINSELTOWN, and Miramax’s HAPPY TEXAS.
Perlman’s film career was interrupted for a three-year run on CBS’ critically acclaimed BEAUTY AND THE BEAST for which he received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor along with two Emmy Nominations and three Viewers For Quality Television Awards. Other television work includes HBO’s THE SECOND CIVIL WAR, MR. STITCH, THE ADVENTURES OF CAPTAIN ZOOM, the Rob Nilsson adaptation of the Rod Serling classic A TOWN HAS TURNED TO DUST for the Sci-Fi Channel, THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, marking his second collaboration with CBS, New Line Cinema’s feature PRICE OF GLORY with Jimmy Smits, Mandalay’s, ENEMY AT THE GATE, opposite Jude Law, New Line Cinema’s BLADE II, Paramount’s STAR TREK: NEMISIS, the Oscar winning short film TWO SOLDIERS, Guillermo del Toro’s HELLBOY for Revolution Studios in which he plays the title character. Perlman was recently seen in MASTERS OF HORROR, directed by John Carpenter, for Showtime, as well as the independent feature MUTANT CHRONICLES, starring opposite Stephen Rea and John Malkovich.

The youngest of four brothers, Doug Jones was born on the 24th May, 1960, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and grew up in the city’s Northeastside. After attending Bishop Chatard High School, he headed off to Ball State University, where he graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, and a minor in Theatre.
He learned mime at school, joining a troupe called “Mime Over Matter” and doing the whole white-faced thing. “I was a mime for one summer at Kings Island theme park in Cincinnati, Ohio after graduating Ball State. Scaring children from Kentucky is basically what you do down there,†he said with a laugh. Doug has also worked as a contortionist. “You’d be surprised how many times that comes into play in commercials. They’ll want somebody to hold a box of Tide funny or something. I once squished into a box for a commercial for relaxed fit jeans.†He is nearing 100 TV commercials now, including the McDonald’s character he made famous around the world, Mac Tonight.
After a hitch in theatre in Indiana, he moved to Los Angeles in 1985, and has not been out of work since – he’s acted in over 25 films, many television series (Including the award-winning Buffy The Vampire Slayer, his episode ‘Hush’ garnering two Emmy nominations) over 90 commercials and music videos with the likes of Madonna, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Marilyn Manson.
Although known mostly for his iconic work under prosthetics, such as the floppy zombie ‘Billy’ in the Halloween classic Hocus Pocus, or the lead Spy Morlock in the 2001 remake The Time Machine, he has also performed as ‘himself’ in such highly-rated films as Adaptation with Nicholas Cage, Mystery Men with Ben Stiller, Batman Returns with Danny DeVito, and indie projects such as Stefan Haves’ Stalled, Phil Donlon’s A Series of Small Things, and as ‘Cesare’ in David Fisher’s daring 2005 remake of the 1919 silent classic The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari.
But it is his sensitive and elegant performance as ‘Abe Sapien’ in Hellboy, which stormed to the top of the U.S. box office in the spring of 2004, that has brought him an even higher profile and much praise from both audiences and critics.
In 2005 he renewed his association with Mexican director Guillermo del Toro when he starred in the title role of ‘Pan’ in del Toro’s Spanish language fantasy/horror project El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan’s Labyrinth). He also has a cameo in the film as ‘The Pale Man’, a gruesome creature with a penchant for eating children. Working once more under heavy prosthetics in both roles, he also was required to learn huge chunks of dialogue in archaic Spanish – which he did perfectly.
2005 continued to be a hectic year for Doug, with roles in Doom, The Benchwarmers and Lady in the Water, the latter being the brainchild of award-winning cult director/writer M. Night Shyamalan. The year also brought success for The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, the film reaping three awards at the Screamfest Horror Festival in Los Angeles, including the coveted Audience Choice Award.
He also stepped out from behind the prosthetics for several roles, most notably to guest-star as freaked-out drug addict ‘Domino Thacker’ in the episode ‘Blood Hungry’ of the hugely popular TV series Criminal Minds, his jittery, unnerving performance being lauded by cast, crew and audiences alike. Doug has continued his collaboration with Guillermo del Toro into 2006, as he reprised his role as ‘Abe Sapien’ by voicing the character in the new Hellboy Animated television project, recording two 70- minute animated films.
On December 18th, 2006, he finished filming his role as the ‘Silver Surfer’ in the upcoming production Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, due out in cinemas June 15th, 2007.
On May 16th, 2007, Doug headed out to Budapest, Hungary, to reprise his role as ‘Abe Sapien’ in the sequel to Hellboy, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, playing all of ‘Abe’ this time, voice and performance, as well as performing two other roles, the ‘Angel of Death’ and ‘The Chamberlain,’ both under heavy prosthetics.

Gorman’s The Star Wars Trilogy in 30 Minutes, Lemuel Pitkin in The Dismantling of Lemuel Pitkin (world premiere), Eddie in Fool For Love, and Ben Cook in National Anthems (European premiere). He has thrice appeared at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe performing in 17 productions (five world and European premieres). Mark’s T.V. credits include the Emmy/Golden Globe winning drama Mad Men (recurring as Dale) CSI, CSI: NY, Alias, Angel, and as a series regular (Travis) on the comedy I Hate My 30’s. His current feature work includes a starring role in the Duplass Brothers’ The Do-Deca-Pentathlon (2011), the starring role in Removal (2010) with Billy Burke, Oz Perkins, Emma Caufield and Elliot Gould directed by Nick Simon, and a lead role in Answers To Nothing (2010) directed by Matthew Leutwyler. He holds a B.F.A. degree in acting from the University of Southern California.

Other screen credits include Sony’s Screen Gems Horror film INSANITARIUM starring as Nurse Henderson directed by Jeff Buhler. Molly also wrote starred and produced the independent feature film OTHER PEOPLE’S PARTIES. Molly has starred in numerous TV shows, films and commercials over the years. Most recently she appeared on THE OFFICE and WEEDS. Other TV credits include 3lbs, Will & Grace, Drew Carey and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Molly was also a member of Tim Robbin’s acclaimed L.A. Theater Company the Actors’ Gang for over 7 years. While there, she was nominated for several OVATION awards: BEST ACTRESS in a MUSICAL for her amazing performance as Lydia Tripplehorn in the the original musical HYSTERIA and another nomination for BEST ACTRESS in her one woman show about a Barbie Doll entitled PLASTICA FANTASTICA. She also was in the critically acclaimed Actors’ Gang production of EXIT THE KING playing Queen Marguerite opposite John C. Reilly. Jeff Buhler has been an movie fanatic since childhood. After making a series of ultra-gory super-8 horror films in high school, Jeff went on to study Film and Theater Arts at UC Santa Cruz.
During the late 90’s, Jeff worked in various facets of the film industry from development through post production and even found himself acting for theater companies including The Actor’s Gang and the Evidence Room. He is an alumni of Second City and has appeared in many independent films.
Jeff’s big break as a screenwriter came when he sold an original idea to Working Title Films in 2000. His work on that script led to an assignment re-writing the horror spec “Cave†for Working Title Films.
After pitching a feature version of the Clive Barker short story “The Midnight Meat Trainâ€, Jeff landed the writing honors and worked closely with Barker bringing the adaptation of his classic short story to life under the direction of famed Japanese director, Ryuhei Kitamura.. The film was released theatrically in August of 2008 by Lion’s Gate Films.
Jeff made his feature directing debut for Sony Pictures from his original script “Insanitarium.â€Â The project follows a man who commits himself to an asylum to save his sister only to find the methods employed in the hospital are less than orthodox. The film was released through Sony Pictures Home Entertainment in July 2008.
